Elson De Cantuaria

●Former Professional & College Player
●B.S. Marketing with Emphasis in Professional Tennis Management
●A native from Brazil, Elson moved to the US in 1991. He was one of the top players for Hampton University, in Hampton, VA. Elson was an All America, and was ranked as high as #2 in the national singles rankings (1991) and #1 in doubles (1993). He played a major role on the Hampton team who reached the NCAA DIV. II finals on 3 consecutive years (92-94).

●Due to innumerous injuries Elson wasn't able to continue his pro career after college. After playing his senior year through injuries he decided it was time to call it quits. He put all the effort and discipline that had helped him so much during his playing years into his school. In December 1995, Elson graduated as the top student in the Hampton University Marketing Department. In 2000, after 6 years away from major competition, Elson was finally able to play a more extensive # of tournaments. He finished the year (2000) as one of the top open players in Southern California.

David Nguyen/ USPTA Member
●Received a tennis scholarship at Cal Poly Pomona,
where the team was ranked 15th in the nation in Division II.
●By his senior year, he was playing #1 singles and doubles and was ranked top 30 in the nation in singles and top 25 in doubles.
●He was also awarded the Arthur Ashe award for Sportsmanship and Leadership in the Western Region.

David started playing competitive tennis at a late age of 13. He made his high school varsity team as a freshman and contributed to two CIF championships for Beverly HIlls High School playing both singles and doubles. He made his way up the Southern CA ranks and ended his 18's ranking top 40. After attending Cal Poly Pomona, he then spent another year as the Men's and Women's assistant coach for Cal Poly before becoming a coach for the Match Point Tennis Academy family. David graduated with a degree in Graphic Design and a minor in Marketing and is currently working for an Architecture firm as well.

●ranked #5 in doubles in state for Div. II community college
●#1 singles second year of Fullerton college
●Hornet student athlete award in 2003
●Hornet Athlete of the year 2005

Danny played tennis for Servite high school, and during that time was part of the CIF champions.  He later became captain of the tennis team and after graduation attended Fullerton College.  At Fullerton he continued playing tennis and was #3 singles and #1 doubles. Played for two years and transferred to USC with a biochem/ pre-dental major. Recently Danny has been selected to be a part of the 2008 Summer Olympics in China as part of the boxing team.

Sergiu Modoc
Serge had a successful record during his junior tournaments reaching the Top 20 Boy’s 16 and the Top 10 Boy’s 18.  He also placed 4th Place at the USTA Super Nationals Winter in Boy’s 16.  During college he attended Fresno State on a tennis scholarship, where he was the captain of his team for both his Junior and Senior year.  Serge has a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration-Finance Option, and graduated with a 3.4 Overall GPA.
